Grownups Only

Just received my first "grown ups only, please" invite. Wow! It's such a weird feeling. To be invited to something then told my cute, harmless son is not invited. It's just a birthday party. I would understand a wedding. Although we allowed children of all ages to attend our wedding...but it was out in the beautiful outdoors. What exactly does unnamed person think is going to happen if children are allowed to attend? Will LJ cry the entire party? No. He'll cry to nurse or to say he is cold or hot, for example. He would likely sleep most of the time. Regardless he won't reach decibels over the music. Or maybe he/she believes children who can walk will run around screaming and destroying the house? I can't speak for everyone but, I like to think that since this isn't a movie or sitcom, people with uncontrollable kids are too embarrassed to bring them out to social events like this. Lastly if it's "no kids"then it really should start at an adult time like 9 to until. But this party starts at 4pm?!?!
